BEYOND
THE
CANVAS.
Painting, design and the possibility of an image becoming something else.
Painting is a personal visual language that has periodically crossed into fashion, silk and exhibition space. The point is not to separate art from design, but to show how the same instinct can move from one medium to another.
Colour, memory and instinct.
The canvas is where the image exists without having to serve a function.
Figures, objects, landscape and graphic compositions share the same attention to colour, proportion and narrative. In Mario Muscariello's creative environment, painting and clothing naturally occupy the same space.

When the image leaves the canvas.
A painting can remain an artwork. Or it can begin another life.
Selected pictorial subjects were reinterpreted on silk, changing scale, material and purpose. The image became wearable without losing its origin.
This is one of the clearest intersections between painting and fashion: canvas, textile and object as different expressions of the same visual idea.
ESTNATION
Roppongi.
Art and fashion presented within the same visual conversation.
At ESTNATION Roppongi, paintings appeared alongside fashion creations and silk accessories developed from the original artworks. A Japanese press feature documented the project and its translation from painting into a wearable object.

The image becomes an installation.
At Isetan Shinjuku, silk moved from accessory to visual environment.
The presentation used scarves as objects in space: suspended, draped and arranged around a larger textile backdrop. The store itself becomes part of the story — a retail setting transformed into an exhibition surface.

7Gallery.
The creative work also reached Brussels.
Works were exhibited at 7Gallery, extending this creative chapter beyond Italy and Japan and placing painting within another international context.
ARTIGIANO.
Painting and design sharing the same space.
Selected works by Mario Muscariello were represented in Miami through Artigiano, where painting and clothing could coexist within the same environment.
The relationship brought this creative chapter to the United States, adding Miami to an international path connecting Naples, Tokyo and Brussels.
THE MEDIUM CHANGES.
THE ACT OF DESIGNING DOES NOT.
Canvas, silk, clothing and space become different surfaces for the same instinct: to give an idea form, proportion and character.
